Locked-In by Lucky Special Games is a free visual novel about Jacqueline Brown, a business woman who suffers from the so-called Locked-in syndrome after an accident. Without being able to move, she tries to remember what brought her into this position … and discovers other things by doing so.
Similar to The Censor, you get – as is usual with Lucky Special Games – a gripping story with a strong female protagonist. Furthermore, there are 8 endings, high quality art, and characters that are all believable and authentic.
Don’t miss this narrative piece of art, especially if you liked The Censor!
Hooked by spaceNote is a short, free kinetic novel about fishing and about … „hooking up“ other things?
Check it out for yourself, it’s free!
Today I have another free visual novel for you: The Tale of the Talking Frog by Ein is a really worth a shot for a debut work! The VN has animated sprites, three endings, and is a wonderful retelling of the Frog Prince.
I really liked how well-written the story is, and how detailed the frog and the other characters are protrayed. Take a loook!
The Censor by Lucky Special Games is dystopian science fiction thriller. In this free visual novel, you explore as CJ489775 the so-called “System.” Through an integrated visual network you get even more background information about the world and the characters. Furthermore, the game offers five endings and a well-made soundtrack.
Experience a story of betrayal, fear, and “motherly love” in a claustrophobic thriller with believable characters and political undertone. A true gem of the genre!
P.S: Are you interested in more games by Lucky Special Games? Keep your eyes peeled, because I might have something special for you soon! 😉
How To Take Off Your Mask is the latest otome game by roseVeRte. You assume the role of Lilia (name changeable) who one day turns into a Luccretia – a being that is half human and half cat. You will find out within the game how she will manage her new life and if she can show her true face to her childhood friend Ronan.
Although you can only date one boy in this visual novel, it offers two different paths, many CGs, great art, and professional Japanese voice acting. If you like the games from roseVeRte, you will love this funny, romantic, and thrilling story.

The short kinetic novel The Mermaid, the Sea and the Boy’s Summer is animated, voiced, and a nice 10 minutes pastime. Check it out, the game is free!
Tiny Empire by Mgaia Studio is a fantasy shoot’em up, where you have to blow up orcs with a canon. Similar to a popular game where you have to shoot with birds, Tiny Empire is perfect for people who want to blow up pixels on the go.
The game is presented in a 16-bit retro style and with its setting in the middle age and an addictive game play it’s a real insider’s tip! At the moment the game is available for Windows Phones and Android, but there will also be an iOS version later. I will update this post when the game is available on all other mobile devices.
iOS (soon available)
Sunset by Tale of Tales is a game about exploring, thinking, and dreaming. A narrative work of art with a strong female protagonist, who gets caught up in a situation that is everything but normal. The only normality she gets is when she is working. However, she expresses her emotions, thoughts, and beliefs in different formats.
“It’s 1972 and a military coup has rocked Anchuria, a small country in Latin America. As a result, you, Angela Burnes, US citizen, are trapped in the metropolitan capital of San Bavón. Your paradise has turned into a warzone. To make ends meet, you take up a job as a housekeeper. Every week, an hour before sunset, you clean the swanky bachelor pad of the wealthy Gabriel Ortega. You are given a number of tasks to do, but the temptation to go through his stuff is irresistible. And what is he up to? As you get to know your mysterious absent employer better, you are sucked into a rebellious plot against the notorious dictator who rules the country with an iron fist.”
A game about so many important topics that one cannot list them all here. Starting with identity vis politics through to family and love. A melancholic, nostalgic work that inspires. A declaration of love to art, the beauty, and the sublime. A masterpiece.

The shooter Hatred by Destructive Creations was much talked of already. Nevertheless, I want to present you the game for the record. We from MoonCreative translated the game into several languages; I’ve done the German translation of course.
If you are at least 18 years old and want to know more about the game, please visit the official site or the sales pages on Steam. I don’t know, however, if and how the game can be bought and downloaded in Germany (or any other specific country for that reason). Also, I would like to distance myself from any content, opinions, views, and statements that are somehow connected to the game.
