Tokyo Dark by Cherrymochi is a mix of point-and-click and visual novel and tells the story of Detective Ito, who makes frightening discoveries in the dark corners of Tokyo.
IMPORTANT: Due to legal reasons and in order to be able to release this translation at all, I have to label it as “fansub”. So I hereby declare that this is 100% a fansub and in no way related to Cherrymochi.
“Detective Ito’s partner is missing, but what starts as a straightforward case soon spirals into a twisted nightmare that causes Ito to confront her past and question her own sanity. Tokyo Dark places the narrative in your hands. Your decisions and actions change Detective Ito’s state of mind, opening doors to different possibilities as you attempt to find your partner and understand the dark and horrifying world around you.”
1. Go to the Tokyo Dark folder on your PC.
2. Open the folder Package.nw.
3. Overwrite the file english.xml in this folder with the German patch available here.
4. If you start the game now and select “English” in the language selection, the text is in German.

“Step into the shoes of Sir Albert Wickes and The Right Honourable Clarence Baxter, two 19th century explorers who have chosen to pilot the HMS Fearful on its maiden voyage to Mars. When the steam engine runs out of coal, the ship’s cat shreds the navigation chart, and the tea gets cold, it becomes clear that interstellar transportation isn’t a walk in the park. It will take the talents of two players working together on the problems that arise to get to Mars in one piece.”

Ash of Gods: Redemption by AurumDust is a turn-based RPG that combines tactical combat, CCG elements, and a constantly evolving story in which no one is safe from death, including the main characters.
The story was written by Russian fantasy author Sergey Malitsky; the soundtrack was made by Adam Skorupa, Krzysztof Wierzynkiewicz and Michal Cielecki, whose previous work includes The Witcher, Bulletstorm, Painkiller, EVE Online, Call of Juarez and Shadow Warrior. The game also contains visual novel elements and is, with about 300,000 words, the largest game I’ve translated so far.
The game is now available for PC. Console ports for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One will follow.
“Ash of Gods is the story of three separate protagonists rising in response to a centuries-old menace once thought to be mere folklore.
Ash of Gods’ storyline is constantly evolving in response to players’ choices, sometimes even resulting in death. But, the death of a character is not game over. Instead, the story moves forward with the death of that character and previous choices continuing to impact future events.
Combat in Ash of Gods is a blend of both traditional turn-based strategy and CCG gameplay. While individual tactics will depend upon the skills and classes of your characters, you will unlock and accumulate cards that have the power to unleash powerful abilities, sometimes altering the course of an entire battle.”
Garden of Oblivion by Träumendes Mädchen (developer of Ambre and Being Beauteous) is a short horror point & click game about a teenager trapped in a dream-like garden. Will Reven be able to escape? It’s up to you! The new version on Steam offers, among other things, my German translation and more new features. Have fun!
“One day Reven awakens in a strange but beautiful place where the young teenager is treated like a very special guest. There are talking animals, each being rather kind and friendly. Unless the door is mentioned. The one in the back of the garden. But what could be behind that mysterious door? And why Reven isn’t allowed to go out? You shouldn’t try to know the truth…”
Even the Ocean von Sean Han Tani und Joni Kittaka, den Entwicklern von Anodyne, is a narrative action platformer about balancing the Light and Dark energies that hold the world together. You will take control of Aliph and explore a huge world in and around Whiteforge City.

Now, working directly with Whiteforge’s Mayor Biggs to face an unknown menace, Aliph must navigate her newfound power and influence to save the city. Aliph’s identities, environmental issues and the world’s fate all hang in the balance of Light and Dark energies.”
Agatha Knife by Mango Protocol is another psychotic adventure and a prequel of MechaNika. This time you will take control of Agatha and try to establish your own religion: Carnivorism.
“Experience life through the eyes of seven-year-old Agatha, an insomniac who finds herself conflicted between friendship with the animals in her mother’s butcher shop and her unwavering love for eating meat. Embark on a satirical narrative point-and-click adventure as you go on an unpredictable journey through Agatha Knife’s quirky and hand-crafted world. Aiming to make the animals unafraid of their inevitable fate in the butcher shop where Agatha works, you’ll head into the whimsical Psychotic Universe looking for answers.”
Like its predecessor, this adventure is full of black humor, crazy characters and WTF moments. If you liked MechaNika, you will love Agatha Knife! The game is now officially available in German – check it out!
MechaNika by Mango Protocol is an adventure game about the 7-year-old Nika who is fed up with the world she’s living in. Don’t let the cute art style fool you, the game is not suitable for children. It’s cynical, not always political correct and offensive in parts – the perfect mix for a psychotic adventure!
“In MechaNika, the first Psychotic adventure, you will meet Nika, an intelligent girl that doesn’t fit the world in which she lives. Perhaps it’s the chocolate shake with a shot of cognac which she carries in her backpack which makes her different. Or maybe it’s the fact that at 7 years old her favourite things are the transfer of energy, magnetic fields and electrical engineering! But being the odd one out doesn’t matter to Nika. Not anymore. She has a plan to solve everything. A really… odd plan. You read the MechaNika manifesto, right?”
The German translation is only available on Steam so far. The other platforms will be updated at a later date! Do not forget to check out the next psychotic adventure: Agatha Knife.
