Feathered Fables – German Translations

Image

Today I have seven free kinetic novels by Kudo Masahiro for you. All of them are about different birds and every story has some kind of moral.

All of the KNs are very short, but perfect for a little snack on the way. If you liked the other stories from Kudo Masahiro (Ghost Fall, Red Ogre and Blue Ogre), you probably won’t be disappointed by them.

All kinetic novels can be read online, thanks to the user “Alte”. They are available in Japanese, English, and German. You can find an overview of all seven stories here. Or just pick a story from here:

The Crane Lady
Sparrow and Woodpecker
Mountain Pigeon
A Sparrow with Her Tongue Cut
An Owl and a Crow
The Sparrow’s Gourd
Crow and a Scarecrow

German Translations of Japanese Legends

Today I have two new free kinetic novels for you! Both games are Japanese legends and are relatively short. Red Ogre and Blue Ogre is something for children, but it has a certain message. Ghost Fall has some light horror elements and it’s a little bit scary. Both KNs are nice for reading in your break or something; you can play them in your browser:

Red Ogre and Blue Ogre
Ghost Fall

The stories are from Kudo Masahiro. Happy reading!

ZU – German Translation

ZU is a RPG with a few puzzle elements by Victor Moura (Cronus). It was originally developed in 30 days for the event “Make a Game, Win a Game” in the beginning of 2013. This event was inspired by the “RPG Maker VX Ace Lite Cook Off”, meaning the game was originally made on RPG Maker VX Ace Lite and following the correspondent limitations.

Synopsis

“Allan is a young man that, after encountering a mysterious entity called Zu, submitted himself to explore his world, willing to fulfill a personal objective. In this new world formed by memories that seems to be a merging of dreams and nightmares, Allan must find his way by exploring hostile lands and interacting with odd and bizarre beings.”

Features

  • Spiritual Evolution

A Skill Tree accessible through the main menu, where it is possible to learn 12 different abilities divided on the categories Astral (AP) and Energetic (EP).

  • Lyre of Lament

A tool used to open sealed passageways and interact with the ambient through marks on the floor. To use the Lyre (when available) you must press the S Key. To play it use the Directional and Z keys.

  • Alchemy

A method to obtain items that aren’t easily found. On the Alchemy (or crafting) you use special items of the category “Ingredients”, which when combined results in more powerful and efficient items. Ingredients are obtained through chests or defeating enemies.

Days of the Divine – German Translation

Days of the DivineDays of the Divine is another free fantasy visual novel by Circle Pegasi, the developers of Nanolife. Here is the game description:

“Long ago, in a valley where a small village lay, two deities fought each other. One was imprisoned, the other vanished. Yet some time ago, an unnatural mist began lingering in the village, dissolving people’s memories. Biyu, a young shrine maiden, is now working her hardest in the shrine of one of these deities in the faint hope the mist will one day dissolve. Even though her good friend also lost his memory, not all hope is lost; she meets a stranger who seems to be recovering from his memory loss, and rather quickly as well

The game is much longer than Nanolife, and has a different setting. It is more like an otome game; you can pursue one out of three boys. As is usual with Circle Pegasi, the game offers high-definition graphics and a fascinating story. Give it a try!

To Kill A Black Swan

To Kill A Black Swan

To Kill A Black Swan is a short murder mystery visual novel about a detective, a yoga course attendant, a grieving wife, an obsessed cleaner, a “bro”, and a bitchy friend. To Kill A Black Swan is not your average whodunit, nothing is as it seems to be, it is all about superficiality (and beneath the surface it has an important message to tell.) TKABS was created for the 2014 Indie Game Development Contest and is available for free. The title is inspired by To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee, but it is an original story.

Features:
* original detective story
* custom soundtrack
* hidden object game elements
* in-game map of the city
* English and German

Midnight Chaos – Release

Midnight ChaosMidnight Chaos is available now. Have you drawn  fan art? Wrote fan fiction or a review? Everyone who contributed something to the Sleepless Night series can get the game for free. Just send me a message and tell me which OS you want the game for. More information about this kinetic novel here.

Those who do not want to draw or write something, can also mention the Sleepless Night on their blog, in a YouTube video or on social networks (Twitter, Facebook, etc.).

EDIT: The game is real, it’s no April Fools’ joke. Sorry if that caused misunderstandings. That would’ve been just cruel; asking people for fan art and fooling them. 😀

Hammer – German Translation

Hammer is a short horror/suspense visual novel by Mugenjohncel. The game is an entry for NaNoRenO 2014 and available for free.

“A mysterious illness has spread throughout the world rapidly killing people everywhere and in desperation, you escaped and wandered aimlessly and ended up in some remote cabin somewhere in the middle of nowhere.”

The game offers two endings and with its eerie atmosphere, it’s a suspenseful game to play. There are a few bloody scneses, but the game is rated 13+.

Midnight Chaos – Announcement

Midnight Chaos

Midnight Chaos is a short kinetic novel and part of the Sleepless Night series. It is highly recommended that you play Sleepless Night and Sleepless Night 2: Ladies’ Night(mare) beforehand. This story focuses on what happens in that time when the protagonist from Sleepless Night is asleep and the girls from Sleepless Night 2 are having their ladies’ night. It’ll throw some light on the events from the two games and is some sort of prelude to the third and final Sleepless Night game. You will meet old friends and new enemies.

What is Haru up to now? His friends are in danger, and he has to make an important decision. The true villain shows up and threatens Haru and all the people he loves. Can Haru find his friends in time to warn them? Will he find the answers in Shizuka’s house, or in the forest?

Since Midnight Chaos is a thank you to the fans of the series, I wanted to make it available who support the Sleepless Night series in some way. If you’ve created fan art, fan fiction, a translation of one of the games, or something else or have provided me with resources for the games and/or helped me with programming/art/testing, just send me a message and I’ll send you a link to the full game once it’s released. Of course, you can also create something new, it doesn’t have to be super complex, just something small is good enough. I’ll post fan art and other things on my website and link to a page of yours if you want.
