Café 0 ~The Sleeping Beast~ by roseVeRte is the sequel to the popular Mystery Visual Novel Café 0 ~The Drowned Mermaid~ from 2011. With better art, an original soundtrack, a theme song and a playtime twice as long as the first game, this visual novel is a worthy sequel.

The Present
The story starts in a village with an atmosphere akin to Europe in the 19th century.
There is a big noble villa there where Corliss Green is working.

One day she wakes up and finds herself in front of a weird café.
Noir, the waiter, tells her that she has already died, but failed to go to the heaven and, as a lost spirit, she ended up at the entrance to Café 0.

He later gave Corliss a chance to return to a week before she died.

But does she really need to go to the heaven?
And what is the truth behind her untimely death?

The Past
Sophie Evans works as a midwife.
She is a cheerful woman and everybody likes her.

What is her relation to the missing incident 15 years ago?

Of course Café 0 ~The Sleeping Beast~ offers full Japanese voice acting, just like the prequel. Also you don’t have to play Café 0 ~The Drowned Mermaid~ in order to understand this story!

Reversion – German Translation

Reversion is a three-part adventure series by 3f interactive. So far Reversion – The Escape and Reversion – The Meeting have been released. The second chapter is now officially available in German! Furthermore, I have corrected some minor mistakes in the translation of the first chapter. However, I have to say that the translation was already pretty good and the main credit should go to the original translator.

The games enchant with hand-made 2D art, a compelling story and the cultural references to Buenos Aires!

Now that the second installment is released in German, let’s look forward to the third and last chapter, Reversion – The Return!

Who Is Mike? – German Translation

Image

Who Is Mike? is a free mystery visual novel by Fervent Studio. It’s the first release of the studio that has been released as a full version, but it is already a high-quality visual novel.

You wake up with an aching head and the world out of focus. In front of you is a man accusing you of being “fake”. He looks exactly like you, down to the last scar and pimple, has the same memories, the same voice and the same personality. But who is lying and who is telling the truth? Who is fake and who is real?

With over nine different possibilities, you can either end up as the tragic hero, the sly villain, or an innocent victim. Will you keep your cool or pick a fight? Play through all the endings and take a peek at the truth of your demise. Whatever action you take, ultimately, you must answer the question: ‘Who is Mike?’

Check out the game; there are nine different endings, a lot of CGs, and an interesting story. There are some bloody scenes and the occasional swear word, that is why the game is recommended for players 16+.

Starfighter: Eclipse – German Translation

Starfighter: Eclipse by Date Nighto is a visual novel, which is based on the webcomic Starfighter by HamletMachine. In this sci-fi game you take on the role of Helios; the newest fighter aboard the starship Kepler. You will meet many familiar faces from the comic, but also new characters. However, you don’t need any previous knowledge of the comic, you can enjoy the game independently.

The German version was first shown on the YaYuCon – Yaoi & Yuri Convention in Dachau. I wasn’t able to attend the convention, but I was told the game was received positively! I hope I can show you some pictures of the convention soon.

In the role of Helios, you can date one (or several) boys; Cain, Abel, Deimos, Selene, and Hayden! Furthermore, you have to solve a mysterious incident aboard the starship. Please note that the game contains explicit erotic scenes, and is therefore only suitable for players at the age of 18 or older. The visual novel works on every modern browser, no matter if it’s an desktop computer, a tablet, or even a smart phone; after a free registration you can continue your game on any device.
