Now on

As of now, you will find all of my games on This has several advantages for me, but also for you. For me it’s easier to upload all games there and keep them updated. (Furthrmore, I don’t have to overload my Dropbox.) And you can always download the latest version of my games.

If you really liked a game or if you just want to support me, you can give me a “tip” on; the games will still be free, though.

All visual novels have been updated again so thanks to the latest Ren’Py version, they should run more smoothly and be more compatible. I have also fixed some small things. Have fun reading!

Christmas Greetings and 2015 Prospects

The Silver Fox wishes you a Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas! I wish all of my readers, players, friends and relatives Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!

Now is the time to recall the bygone year and prospect the new one. Many things did happen, but unfortunately, many things did not. Legend of the Silver Fox is far from being finished, but here’s to hope it’ll see the light of day in 2015! Also, many translations are still not released, which personally annoys me; not only because of the lost time, but also because I know that many visual novel fans wait for those games. 🙁

But enough of the negative stuff!

My eBook series, the Raven-Saga, started and it is selling better than I expected. Thanks to everyone who supports the series. I publish the book series on my own and that’s why I’m even happier that it was a successful start. By the way, you can get the first book on Amazon for free over Christmas; just click here and download it. You can expect the remaining episodes in 2015 and … even more! I cannot tell exactly what just now. 😉 Furthermore, two of my short stories got released in anthologies (German only, though); „Eins mit der Natur“ in Eine Feder für Wölfe (published by Swantje Berndt and released in the Weltenschmiede Verlag) and „Monster“ in Bunte Augenblicke (published by the Autorentreff Bad Camberg and released in the Verlag Edition Winterwork). Moreover, there are great new book projects coming for me to edit next year; among other things an adaption of a well-known, German video game. I’m really looking forward to it!

TranslationsWhispering Willows
Concerning upcoming game translations, it’s also going well. Since a few months, I’m part of the localization group MoonCreative; we localize video games for various gaming systems into German, Spanish, French, Italian, Russian, Polish and more. That means I get to translate many more well-known games into German like Whispering Willows. But of course in my free time I’ll keep doing translations for visual novels; regardless of whether they are free or commercial. Though, please note that (also partly because of my indignation about the unreleased translations) those works, which I get paid for, take priority. I have to pay my bills as well. Even more video game news? Yes! However, like always I’m not allowed to reveal much. As a matter of fact, some of my translations will be released on Steam, iOS, Android, and PlayStation in 2015. As always I’ll announce  all new infos on here and on Facebook as soon as I can tell you more.

CoverMy own video games
To Kill A Black Swan was released this year and even though it did not get the same resonance as This Is Where I Want To Die did, feedback was mostly positive. For 2015, I intend to release the last Sleepless Night. Part 3 will be darker, longer, and combines elements from both its predecessors. Furthermore, all open questions will be answered. Legend of the Silver Fox will hopefully be finished and a new visual novel should make enough progress so I can present it to you. What’s more, I’m also working on a RPG, which I hinted at here and there. 😉

That’s it from me for this year! I was able to work with great authors, translators, and developers in 2014, and all things considered it was a good year. I’m looking forward to read from you; how was your year, do you have good resolutions for the new one?

Legend of the Silver Fox – News(?)

As you may have noticed there have been barely news about Legend of the Silver Fox. The reason is simple: There are no news. Which means the game will probably not be released in 2014. At the moment, I’m not sure it’ll be released at all. I’m not satisfied with my writing anymore and I literally scrapped about 20,000 words. The people who played it did not seem to like it or gave no feedback at all (which is a pretty bad sign).

And I know the reason for this: I haven’t been honest. The writing I did for this game did not come from my heart; I may know the story in my head but I was not sincere in terms of the writing for most of the part. I invested so much and I know you guys have been waiting for this game a long time, but I’m actually not sure if I CAN finish it. I kind of have a writer’s block when it comes to Legend of the Silver Fox and I don’t want to write something which I wouldn’t consider sincere. If I were to do such a thing, I would not be able to say: This is it. This is how I wanted the game to turn out in terms of writing.

I may need another writer or MUCH more time to finish it. Just don’t expect the game anytime soon. If you are a writer and want to help me out please contact me. I could really use some help with this game. As it is now, only the demo is finished. There is hardly any more content in terms of writing (anymore).

If you ask me, a visual novels is an art form that relies to a great extend on the writing and especially on the quality thereof. In contrast to my other works, I cannot claim that LotSF meets my standard and expectations anymore. I hope I’ll have more pleasant new for you soon.

Sleepless Night 2 + Legend of the Silver Fox

Sleepless Night 2

Midori is desperate.

There wasn’t many news about Sleepless Night 2 in the last few weeks. I’d like to say that I’ve been working a lot on the game in the meantime, but this wouldn’t be the truth. I devoted my time to other games and a new book project. But this project is not canceled and it is also very progressed.  The android version of the first game was downloaded over 10,000 times and was reviewed positively. I’m glad that so many people are interested in the series and I’ll give my best to make the second game even better. I also take your criticisms into account. Many people wanted a longer story (or rather: a story at all). This is of course my focus, but this also means that it takes longer to complete it. So please be patient, because it will be worth it; Sleepless Night 2: Ladies’ Night(mare) offers a longer story, more characters, and scarier shock moments.

Legend Of The Silver Fox

Jack disapproves of Elenor’s idea.

Let’s see what Legend of the Silver Fox has been up to. There has been a lot of progress here. The story finally takes shape, I’ve written a lot for it. Also in terms of music the game is nearly finished. However, the majority of the art is still missing, but it is worth the wait, because the game will look fantastic with the character sprites and backgrounds by Senkou. Furthermore, I decided to sell the game for a low price because of the amount of features (about 5€). I don’t want to make money out of the game but I’ll use the gains for my future games. I could add voice acting into the game later for example. I’m also planning a theme song, which will be recorded by a professional band. Please also keep in mind that all of my games will be released in two languages simultaneously (German and English), which means that I have to write twice as much. It takes a lot more time than expected but do not worry: The games will be released.

Finally, the newly planned release dates:
Sleepless Night 2: Ladies’ Night(mare) – October 31, 2013
Legend of the Silver Fox – Beginning of 2014

Legend of the Silver Fox – Characters #4

Another important character from Legend of the Silver Fox!

Name: Amalia Cynthia Semira Kali van Nite
Age: 17
Birthday: January 2
Location: Palace
Height: 1.70 m
Weight: 48 kg
Likes: Fur, jewels, power
Dislikes: Boredom

Amalia is the legitimate heiress to the throne. Her mother died when she was still a child and the king vanished a long time ago. Therefore, she is just a princess and can only be crowned queen on her 18th birthday. Nonetheless, she is in control of the kingdom and harasses her subjects. Obsessed with gold and jewels, she soon realizes that everything is not enough for her. She is tired of her boring existence in the palace, but then she has an idea: The winter is pretty tough and the princess calls for a new pelt. Of course this must not be an ordinary one. It has to be the one of a very rare animal

Amalia may look nice, but deep inside she is evil and ruthless. The power over everything and everybody has spoiled her; she does not care about her fellow humans at all. What might happen when she meets Elenor?

That’s all important characters. The game is mainly about Elenor, Jack, Leon, and Amalia.

Legend of the Silver Fox – Characters #3

It’s time to meet Leon. The third character of Legend of the Silver Fox!

Name: Leon Sooleawa
Age: 16
Birthday: December 10
Location: Forest
Height: 1.71 m
Weight: 55 kg
Likes: Animals, the forest
Dislikes: Animal abuse, narrow-minded people

Leon is a mysterious boy and lives in the woods. Elenor is not really sure what to make of him and he often teases her. On the other hand, he seems to be quite serious at times. He also seems to be all alone, he has no family and maybe no friends at all. Jack doesn’t like him either and suddenly Elenor begins to wonder: Maybe he wants to be alone after  all. What is he hiding? Can Elenor reveal his secrets?

Who is your favorite character so far? There’s still one important side character left

Legend of the Silver Fox – Characters #2

It’s time for the second character of Legend of the Silver Fox! Jack is a main character and the best friend of Elenor.

Name: Jack Bailey
Age: 15
Birthday: August 5
Location: Dairy
Height: 1.67 m
Weight: 53 kg
Likes: Traveling, Elenor
Dislikes: Awkward situations, being lied to

Jack lives at the dairy and helps out his mom whenever he can. He is very hard-working and wants to travel around the world someday. On the other hand, he would miss Elenor since she has been his best friend since childhood. He knows that she is obsessed with the idea of finding the Silver Fox, but Jack wants to persuade her to get over it and find something else to do. He wants her to become reasonable and have appropriate goals in life. Once Leon shows up, Jack knows that there is a possibility he could lose Elenor forever

Jack can be shy sometimes and he often doesn’t speak up his mind. Although Elenor wants him to be more sincere with his feelings, Jack is just afraid of saying the wrong things and making Elenor angry. Can he offer a better future to Elenor? And even more important: Would she accept this offer?

Keep a lookout for Leon next week on Friday!

Legend of the Silver Fox – Characters #1

We make progress on Legend of the Silver Fox! The game is far from being finished but I thought it’s about time to introduce the three main characters. We’ll begin with the protagonist Elenor.

Name: Elenor Sawyer
Age: 15
Birthday: March 20
Location: Sewing worker’s house
Height: 1.62 m
Weight: 50 kg
Likes: Adventures, mysteries, foxes
Dislikes: Being teased, injustice

Elenor is a fifteen-year-old girl from a small village in the forest. Her father died a few years ago and she lives alone with her mother. She loved the stories her father used to tell her and together with her best friend Jack she keeps searching for a mysterious animal her father mentioned: The Silver Fox. She believes that this fox exists and hopes that it’ll grant her a wish. But one day she meets a new boy in the woods. Leon seems to know the forest even better than Elenor, but she has to make a decision Can she trust him?

She is usually very polite and friendly but can be quite impulsive when someone’s teasing her. She is also very persistent as regards the search for the Silver Fox. Elenor doesn’t know yet what she wants to do in life; she’s not very good at sewing like her mother. Will she find her destiny?

That’s Elenor. Do you like her? Stay tuned for the second character next week on Friday! Would you rather see Jack first or would you prefer Leon?

The Silver Fox Main Menu

Legend of the Silver Fox makes progress! Check out this new video (it is basically only the picture of the main menu) and listen to the new track! The main menu will probably change a lot so only the music might be final. And of course my logo and the game’s logo. What do you think?

Also, I thought I could use this post to answer some questions about the game:

Q: How far is the writing and the translation of the game?
A: I’m writing everything in English first. Afterwards, the game will be translated into German. The writing is about 1/5 done.

Q: How much will it cost?
A: The game will be free. Although I might sell a special version with extra in-game stuff, the soundtrack, and other things. Not sure about the price yet.

Q: Is this an otome game?
A: Basically yes. You play Elenor and there are two boys to pursue (Jack, Leon). Besides the romance part, there’s also a lot of mystery in it.

Q: What about other gameplay elements?
A: The game is a pure visual novel. That means there are no point-and-click scenes. The player reads the story and occasionally has to make choices to influence the outcome.

Q: Will the game be voiced?
A: Currently there are no plans to get the game voiced.

Q: Are there many choices?
A: At the moment, I can’t say that for sure. The game is planned to branch at a certain point into two main routes. Each of those routes will be completely different and will lead to one out of two endings. That means there are four main endings, and maybe some “game over” endings.
