Always The Same Blue Sky… – German Translation

Always The Same Blue Sky…

Always The Same Blue Sky… is a commercial kinetic novel by Grant Wilde. Kinetic novel means that it is a pure story and the player cannot make decisions to change the outcome. The novel is an unique island adventure and a timeless love story full of mysteries.

“Due to mysterious circumstances you have been sent to finish studying on a remote Mediterranean island. Sure you’re used to moving around, but even you haven’t experienced an island quite like this a girl quite like Kira.”

This short novel invites you to a heart-warming love story of two young people. But some things are still unsolved and soon you will realize that Kira is not like other girls. A story which leaves room for interpretations with its vivid language, metaphors and philosophical thoughts. You can play the game in English and German, it works with Windows, Mac, and Linux computers, and you can buy it for £2.49 (£2.99 for the HD Edition). There is also a free demo.

dUpLicity ~Beyond the Lies~ – German Translation

dUpLicity ~Beyond the Lies~

dUpLicity ~Beyond the Lies~ is a commercial visual novel by roseVeRte. It is the second game that is officially translated into German by me. At this point I want to thank Torsten Sohrmann for doing the hard and especially time-consuming work of editing the images. Here is the official game description:

“Yukina Kudou is a third-year high school student with a secret. Behind her daily sickly school girl act, she has important job to do. One day, she receives a warning that she’s doing her job terribly,
and if there is no improvement upon her graduation, she will be fired. She has only six months. What is this secret position she holds? What is its true goal?”

You can expect a story full of twist and  unexpected events. You could call the game a mix between mystery and otome game. There are four main routes with every one of them reveling one of the secrets. You will get closer to the truth with every unlocked ending (there are 15 in total). The game can be purchased for $20,00. There is also a free demo for Mac OS, Linux, and Windows on the official website: http://www.roseverte.net/german/duplicity.html

P.S: Also check out the first German game by roseVeRte: Café 0 ~The Drowned Mermaid~

Kako no Koi

bdjv2q59

Kako no Koi is an upcoming original German visual novel by Yume Creations.

“The protagonist Naoya Kiriyama is really depressed after his little sister Nagi killed herself. But he was encouraged by his friends especially by his childhood friend Chizuru Futami. They’re really good friends and do almost everything together. He also got help from Chizuru’s friend Tsukasa Hanamiya. Time went on and he fell in love with Tsukasa, but she turned down his confession. But he didn’t give up and finally she became his girlfriend. But the happiness didn’t last long because Tsukasa got in an accident and died. What will happen to Naoya? Will he see Tsukasa and Nagi again?”

Kako no Koi is a drama/mystery/romance visual novel. The game features character art by Deji and is supposed to be funded with crowdfunding. There is a short pre-alpha demo available in German and a English translation thereof by me. This Is Where I Want To Die

This Is Where I Want To Die

My contribution for this year’s NaNoRenO is finished already! This Is Where I Want To Die is a short kinetic novel, which is about a dying person trying to remember what happened. More information and the game to download on its official site: This Is Where I Want To Die

The game was created in less than a month, but I had the story already in mind. It’s free an can be played in English and German. TIWIWTD contains only one ending and no choices, but has an important message I want to put across. Have fun!

Sleepless Night 2: Ladies’ Night(mare)

Sleepless Night 2

I think it’s time to talk about Sleepless Night 2! Since I got many nice comments for my first “real” visual novel/point-and-click game Sleepless Night, I decided to work on a second installment. I really listened to what the players wished for and tried to put it into this new game. Here is a short teaser of the new game:

As you can see, there are already many features that were missed in the first game:

  • More rooms to explore (about 10)
  • Things you can click on “shine” (yaay)
  • You can talk with people (3 girls)

Please keep in mind that everything in this video is subject to change. The full game will be free and it’s already twice the length of the first game. Many players complained that the true ending in the first game was really cliché but for Sleepless Night 2 I have some cool ideas! There are going to be three main endings (apart from the various death endings) and one true ending that will clear some things up 😉

I can’t give you an exact release date but maybe I can finish it sometime in April. Next month I’ll start to work on This Is Where I Want To Die (short: TIWIWTD :D) for NaNoRenO 2013. After this is finished, I’ll work full speed on SN2 and Legend of the Silver Fox so I’m pretty sure I’ll manage to release at least those three games in 2013.
